The human brain is amazing. It controls every aspect of the human body from heart rate to memory, emotion to appetite. It has over a billion nerve cells and is powered by electricity and composed of 80% water. It is greater than any social network or any supercomputer known to mankind. It’s a powerful reminder that we are truly fearfully and wonderfully made.

Just like any other organ in your body, your brain can be healthy and strong. You have the power to restore and repair your brain. This is a message that I share at my counseling center, Revolutionary Change, LLC.  It’s important for people to understand the valuable connection between their mind, body and spirit.

The focus of our work at Revolutionary Change is to Explore, Transform and Heal. I am passionate about helping others understand the root of emotionally unhealthy behaviors while guiding them toward healing and transformation.

Recently, I have been taken by the wealth of information available in the book, Change Your Brain, Change Your Life, by Dr. Daniel Amen. His groundbreaking research looks at the brain’s ability to heal itself biologically, psychologically, socially and spiritually. In it, Dr. Amen revealed that you can improve your brain’s health, vitality and effectiveness in just 10 short weeks. Why is that important? It is important because any brokenness in your life has the capacity to be restored based on the adaptability of your brain.

If you have been challenged by fatigue even after a full night’s rest or have become easily distracted, or consumed with eating unhealthy processed foods or struggling to connect to God and those close to you then you need to talk to someone. These are all circumstances that can be transformed through optimizing your brain health.

As I continue to serve others through my work, I have discovered that every aspect of our humanity and well-being must be aligned to experience total health and longevity. A trusted medical doctor recently shared with me that most of her clients are dealing with illness and disease that are rooted in emotional stress gone unaddressed.

Use this moment as an invitation to fix what is broken. Don’t limit your transformation to one part of your life. Remember you were created to operate in wholeness not brokenness. Live a life that resounds in balance, health and peace.

Here is a roadmap to the areas of transformation:

*Biological-How your physical body functions (body, health nutrition/exercise)

*Psychological-Developmental issues, how you think (mind/emotions)

*Social- Relationship and family connections (supports)

*Spiritual-Meaning and Purpose (faith)
