Simone Biles, one of the greatest gymnast we have witnessed in our life time made a brave
decision to withdraw from the Olympics competition to focus on her mental health.

Let this be a reminder to us all, that if one of the greatest gymnasts of all time can prioritize rest
and mental peace in the middle of the Olympics that we too have that same power.

Often, we can physically perform all we want but if our mental and emotional health is
struggling eventually, we will out of fuel.

Our bodies usually give off warning signs and physical symptoms before an emotional burnout
could happen, but most of the time, it gets ignored for our desire to “keep pushing.”

Today I want to remind you it’s okay to stop pushing and REST.

It’s okay to walk away from the expectations that others have of us to focus on what our body
needs from us.

Normalize rest for yourself and most of all normalize that it’s okay to say no and focus on your
Heath —— physically, emotionally, and mentally.

Our team at Revolutionary Change Counseling know that you don’t have to be an Olympic
gymnast to need support with prioritizing your mental health. We want you to now we are here
