Janet Margaret Couet, M.A LMHC earned her Bachelor’s degree in counseling, health education, and addictive behaviors specializing in eating disorders in 1986. She earned her Master of Arts in 1997. She has over 25 years of mental health experience varying from a wide range of populations which include hospice, autism, employee assistance counseling, crisis intervention, sexual and physical abuse, eating disorders, as well as child welfare and foster care.
She specializes in working with children, teens, families as well as couples counseling. With her extensive background in mental health, she is motivated by previous client success taking a wholistic, spiritual, and non-judging reality-based approach to therapy.
Her approach is welcoming and engaging affording her the opportunity to meet the client where they are at by setting realistic objectives and goals to overcome the barriers preventing individuals from experiencing and embracing a positive life.
